We Are Now Closed for the Festive Holidays - We Will Return on Wednesday 3rd January at 10am - We Look Forward to Seeing You in the New Year!

Away from the Clerkenwell circuit there was exciting news for Tangram at several London showrooms.

London continues to be a hotbed for design and Clerkenwell in particular stands out as one of the city’s best design destinations.

The times they are a-changin' here in the showroom!  We've just had some temporary walls built to set the scene for 2 new mono-brand settings from B&B Italia and Maxalto which will be on display from 1st June.

Of the roughly 700 exhibitors at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, 80% are Scandinavian making the event the largest meeting place for Scandinavian design.   From whiteboards to modular seating systems, the Scandi's have launched some very exciting new designs.  We've selected our highlights and categorised them into offices, hospitality and apartments.

Our portfolio seems to be continually expanding! But - we're not complaining.  While we try to keep our portfolio selective, it's impossible to ignore the quality and relevance of certain brands.  So, we welcome 3 new brands to Tangram, all with very different offerings.

In light of our current sofa promotion, we thought we'd share the Tangram team's top sofa picks and why.  First up is in-house interior designer, Joanne, who chose the Gordon 495 from Walter Knoll as her favourite sofa at the moment.  Below she tells us why...

Well... 2015 has been a very busy and exciting year so far! The contract calendar has been particularly eventful with a whole host of projects of varying scales. Luckily we have our very talented Contracts Director, Sarah, at the helm steering us to success with the creation of some truly stunning interiors.

Another year and another whirlwind 3 days in Milan for Salone del Mobile.  Sarah, our Contracts Director, notes that the fair was the usual hubbub of style, sunglasses and of course the very best in contemporary furniture and lighting!  There is lot's of exciting new contemporary contract furniture for the commercial environment but upon reflection it was arguably some of the best brands that pulled it out of the bag once again.

Tangram have been working with MARK Product for many years and it is a pleasure to watch the company and brand grow stronger every year.  Founded by John Miller and Anna Hart in 2008, Mark Product is based in Penryn in Cornwall which gives the company a unique DNA.  Much of the products are designed in Cornwall and many are made there too.

Our early favourite products from the collection were the Horizon screen made in solid timber which creates fabulous shadows and is a beautiful piece, the clever Spin table with its magnetic fixings and the Arris armchair with a solid timber frame and soft cushions which is fast becoming a classic.  Recent additions which we think are going to prove very popular are as follows;

'Flag' table and bench – a combination of slab ended tables and benches in laminate with a clever mitred joint and hardwood edge, a great idea to ensure a hardy product and available in a huge range of colours. Flag-table+bench_01

In recent weeks Tangram have been busy as ever working with a wide variety of clients. We thought we'd keep you in the loop and give you a quick insight into some of the contemporary contract furniture projects we've been working on.

A particularly popular product of late has been the fabulous 'Airflake' acoustic panel from Abstracta.  With  acoustic properties and available in different colours and shapes, the composition possibilities are endless!  One client impressed by such was Standard Life who we fitted the panels for this month.
